December Stamp of the Month, Candlelight Garden S1512

When I first saw this stamp set I immediately fell in love with it. I host our monthly Close to my Heart Team, Acrylix Chix's monthly stamp of the month swaps and I really thought everyone would love this. It seemed that most everyone was a bit intimidated by this outline set....or maybe everyone was so focused on Winter and the holidays it was hard to get into the mood to create with a spring themed set. However, I was pleasantly surprised with what they all created. I'm happy to show you those submissions plus other samples I've found using this awesome and versatile stamp set.

Glazing Technique Tutorial

This is a fairly simple technique that really adds depth and pop to your stamped outline images. I'm using the new December Stamp of the Month, S1512 Candlelight Garden.

Here is a full supply list:
*Water in a spray bottle
*Any stamp pad or re-inker
*Water brush
*Glazing medium
*Stamped outline images
*Acrylic Block
*Baby Wipe

Step 1: dab a bit of your ink pad or re-inker ink onto the acrylic block and pour a small dab of glazing medium on top of it. Using your waterbrush mix the two. If it dries while your using it spitz with a bit of the water from the spray bottle.

 Step 2: "Color" in your stamped images. You can use darker inked areas to show highlights adding depth and dimension to your images. Clean up is a breeze...just wipe off your waterbrush onto a baby wipe until it shows clean.
